What I Do to Avoid Looking Oily in Photos

Facial Skin CareWhether it’s for a photoshoot or you just want to take a selfie, you naturally want to look fresh and oil-free. Sure, the “glass skin” trend is definitely leading the way, but having glowing skin is different from having an oil slick on your face.

Taking Care of My Face

As a selfie addict, I always see to it that my skin always looks fresh and clean on camera. I hate taking bad photos, which is why I dedicate a lot of my time to taking care of my face. First, I make sure that my skin is ;cleansed thoroughly, especially after waking up. I’ll be doing some reviews of Kedma products here as well,;as I’ve been loving them lately.

From Cleansing to Moisturizing

I’ve been using their foaming facial scrub every day for six months now, and boy, do I notice a difference. This gently exfoliates my skin without drying it. It also gives my face the right amount of moisture so that it doesn’t look too oily. Another thing that I love about this product is that it has chamomile extract to calm and soothe the skin. So yes, this is perfect for those of you who have problematic and sensitive skin.

After this, I make sure to follow it up with Kedma’s skin toner. This has aloe vera and Dead Sea minerals in it, which help;moisturize;the skin further. Now, you have to remember this: even if you want a matte-looking skin, you definitely still have to moisturize your face. Not doing so will leave you with a dull and lifeless complexion. And this toner does just that. It gets rid of the extra oil but keeps your skin moisturized at all times.

I also make sure to use a mattifying base primer before putting any makeup on. This ensures that my makeup stays on my face and won’t make me look oily all throughout the day.

Lastly, I always keep a compact powder and oil blotter in my makeup kit. I use these on the go, whenever I need to touch up and look clean and oil-free for a photo.

Follow my lead to capture that perfect selfie! Cheers to a radiant but oil-free skin starting today.
